The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Dara Calleary TD, has launched the 2025 Town and Village Renewal scheme to help revitalise rural towns and villages, which includes the Project Development Measure (PDM).
The purpose of the PDM is to establish a pipeline of significant, well developed projects which could subsequently be quickly and efficiently progressed to construction stage, subject to the availability of further funding.
The maximum grant available for the Project Development Measure is €50,000 per project.
Funding under this measure may be awarded for costs such as detailed design, preparation for the planning and/or procurement, appropriate assessments etc. in respect of one single future strategic medium to large scale project.
Cavan County Council are now inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for project proposals under this measure. EOI’s will be assessed based on the priorities as contained in the Scheme Outline and preferably linked to actions outlined in the County Cavan Town and Village Revitalisation Plans where relevant, or a similar study. A maximum of two applications per Local Authority may be submitted to the Department of Rural and Community Development.
